日本で推奨できる学校/Recommended Schools in Japan
This post will be written later. If you have interest, come back later. この投稿は後で書きます。興味があれば、後に来てね。
As of now, after testing 2 different Japanese language schools (Yokohama Design College and Hiroshima YMCA), I can only recommend one: Hiroshima YMCA. Even so, I recommend it not because it is excellent, but seeing the sad Japanese language school (and sometimes even the regular school for japanese people) scenario in Japan, schools whose staff to an extent really care for the students can be considered "good", even if they lack somewhat in teaching, student lodging, school structure, student management and so on, not being compatible with the huge amount of money spent with them. It is also one of the only 5 schools in the ENTIRE Japan which has minimal (I would like to emphasize the minimal) support of autism as well. It was not a real support, it was a support coming solely by the desire of the staff to understand autism. Since I already once studied there, being the first person with autism to do so, if you have a lighter degree of autism you may have a better time than I had. Even so, it will be painful, because many students are noisy, some do light bullying as well. I will write more about both in separate posts.
To search a (somewhat) good school, I recommend using both https://www.nisshinkyo.org and google maps user comments. Avoid the ones with too many negative reviews, and choose the ones with mostly good review or at least with no reviews (risky). Do not use intermediation services (such as gogonihon) as they are not in your best interest, contact the schools directly by e-mail. That way you can see how gentle and helpful they are, and if they speak properly English. When your japanese is still basic, English support will be important.
