Google a few years ago started using AI for managing user ratings and comments. The AI seemed to specially target negative reviews, removing them sometimes for the most nonsensical reasons. When you tried to post a negative review, again, the same behavior. Amusingly, it was still easy for, for example, a shop owner report your "abusive comment" (no matter how polite the review was), but there was up to now no button to easily report a business. It was when I saw that, and all the google contact options about business abuse I found after digging up a lot in the internet failed to give a proper response, which google is a for business company, you as a user is nothing, even if the users with their data made google what it is today. I saw one of the best examples of the phrase "when something is free, then the merchandise is you". That is why I moved my reviews to my own site, not controlled by anyone but myself.
